John was an ALT in Mie Prefecture (‘92-‘94) at three public High Schools in Yokkaichi and Kuwana. He returned to the NYC area and was active with JETAANY, including serving on their Board for several years. As he has relocated for career and educational goals, he has joined several JETAA chapters and sub chapters across the US.

John’s professional background is in marketing, first in consumer-packaged goods and later in tech. In his free time, he enjoys cinema, hole in the wall restaurants and exploring the Bay Area. He was educated at Amherst College and the University of Michigan.
